About Salt Mine of Slanic

Unirea Mine (Mine Slanic Prahova), located at a depth of 208 m, an area of ​​53.000 m², was opened for visit after 1970. Tourist circuit browse a route that allows highlighting spatial elements of tourist interest in the internal structure of salt massif, represented by creases with development on tens of meters, marked by alternating bands colored with shades of gray and white, different mineralogical characteristics (structure, texture, mode of crystallization) and the great purity of salt.
