About Mocanita Sovata

Mocanita is a train of narrow line that runs in mountain regions.

Mocanita "Sovata" or steam locomotive 764.052 series is a locomotive built in 1949, at Chrzanowo factory in Poland.

It works with charcoal or hardwood. The train has 3 carriages, two closed and one gondola type. All carriages have a length between 11 and 12 meters. Gondola carriage was built 1953, and the others two in 1985 and 1991. The three carriages were renovated in 2003.Have a total capacity of 90 seats.

Maximum speed is 35km/h and autonomy is 30 km.

The route is 30 kilometers, lasts 2 hours and the train stations are in Sovata and Campu Cetatii.
