About Bear Lake

Bear Lake is a natural monument, a protected area (nature reserve, mixed type) situated in Mures district, on the territory of the city Sovata.

The Nature Reserve has an area of ​​79 hectares and represents a zone formed of volcanic conglomerates (andesite with amphibole) and massive of salt. Bear Lake was formed after the collapse of a salt mines.

The Bear Lake is the main attraction of Sovata resort, due to the specific structure of water and mud from the lake (can be used to cure many health problems).

Daily: 10:00 - 18:00
