About Bigar Waterfall

Water of the spring Bigar (rich in calcium),  flows  into the Minis river, on a rocky sill, forming a waterfall of rock.

Waterfall belongs to Bigar Natural Reservation, a protected area of national interest and represents a hilly area, canyons, limestone cliffs, valleys, ditches, sinkholes, caves, springs, meadows and pastures.

Waterfall Bigar was included, along with seven other waterfalls from different countries, in a top of unique waterfalls from the world, produced by journalists from The World Geography.  In the ranking "Eight unique waterfalls in the world", made by American journalists, waterfall Bigar holds the first place.
