Cave churches from Sinca Veche are places of worship, entirely carved in stone. The churches ensemble dates from 1750.

Monument of national interest is known as the temple of prayer, fate temple, cave monastery or cave.

Underground monastery from Sinca Veche is composed of two churches carved into the sandstone. The monastic complex was formed at the time of the Transylvanian Orthodox persecution and forcing them to convert to Catholicism. Around the year 1750, in the time of persecution due to religious union with Rome, several Orthodox monks chose Sinca Veche cave as a refuge, prayer and ministry.
