About Zosin Monastery

Orthodox monastery, situated in the west of the locality Baluseni, 14 km from Botosani.

Ensemble of Zosin Monastery  is a historical monument and is composed of:

Wooden church "Assumption" - dates from 1779.


Brick Church "Assumption" - dates from 1993

The wooden church was built in 1779 by boyar Tudorache Basota, during the reign of Constantine Moruzi.

In 2009, due to landslides, Zosin Monastery built  another church located at 2 km from the present monastery.
