About Little Lala and Big Lala Lakes

Lakes Little Lala and Big Lala are glacial lakes of Reserve "Ineu - Lala" (situated at an altitude of 1.815 m). They are located in Rodna Mountains, under peak Ineu. From Little Lala it springs Lala River, which flows into lake Lala Mare.

Lake Big Lala is the largest glacial lake in Rodna Mountains with 5.6375 m² area.

Ineu - Lala is a protected area of national interes, with an area of 2.568 hectares, with a large glacial landscape development (stitching, glacial valleys, moraines), including network elements, particularly scenic river (waterfalls, glacial lakes) and elements of the flora and fauna: yew, marsh marigolds and black grouse.
