About Arad Museum

The museum is located in Arad Cultural Palace, this palace was built in 1913 and features a mix of styles: Corinthian, neoclassical, gothic revival.

Arad Museum Complex has 3 sections:

Department of History

Department of Natural Sciences

Department of Art

Department of archeology and history comprises 15 exhibition halls, located on the first and second floor of the Cultural Palace (entrance Dragalina Boulevard). More than 2000 exhibits illustrating the evolution of Arad area in the context of Romania's history, from the first traces of human presence until the communist regime.

In the natural sciences department are presented characteristic about fauna and flora of Arad County, mineralogical and organic collection.

Department of Art is represented by the Romanian and European painting.
